Project Spotlight: Downtown Connection Center, Flagstaff, AZ
Rooftop Solar is proud to have played a key role in one of Flagstaff’s most exciting new community projects, the Mountain Line Downtown Connection Center (DCC).
This brand-new, all-electric, mass-timber facility is more than a transit hub. It represents an important investment in sustainable, forward-looking infrastructure for the region. At the heart of that effort is a powerful solar installation designed and installed by Rooftop Solar.
Rooftop Solar’s Contribution
In June 2024, Rooftop Solar installed a 111 kW rooftop photovoltaic system atop the Downtown Connection Center. Our team worked closely with project partners to ensure the system blended seamlessly with the center’s cutting-edge design while delivering the long-term performance needed to help the building achieve its net-zero energy goals.
This project demonstrates what is possible when local leadership, federal investment, and clean energy expertise come together. By harnessing the abundant sunshine of Northern Arizona, the DCC will generate clean electricity right on site, lowering operating costs for Mountain Line and helping keep transit service affordable for riders.
