In the beginning...

You could say the vision of Rooftop Solar is as old as the sun, but the passion for solar energy started when the Grandfather of founding Rooftop Solar partners Hadassah, Seth and Jason, first installed solar on his house. Grandpa Holland was a longtime believer in clean energy, well before there were government incentives and tax benefits. That passion stayed in the family. Finally, in 2008, after years of discussing the idea, the grandkids (all grown up and professional) decided to combine forces, passion and vision to create Rooftop Solar.

 

Today Rooftop Solar services Arizona and California by providing clean energy at an affordable price to private residences and commercial businesses.

Seth Holland

CO-FOUNDER, CEO

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I spent the first part of his career in architectural design while teaching mathematics at the university on the side. With an extensive background in construction, science and technology, the solar industry was an obvious choice. I have now been working with Rooftop Solar for more than 11 years after co-founding the company. I spend my spare time talking philosophy with friends, playing music and snowboarding. By expressing ourselves, we all have the ability to make an impact. I appreciate the privilege of making an impact in the solar industry.

Hadassah Ziegler

Co-Founder, COO

Hadassah’s long-held belief that everyone has the right to a healthy environment and a bright future led to her pursuit of a degree in Urban and Environmental Planning. She has dedicated her professional career to helping to create a sustainable energy future, beginning as manager of a land management collaborative of more than 425,000 acres. After developing the skills to run a dynamic solar installation company, Hadassah co-founded Rooftop Solar and serves as its COO. As one of Rooftop’s leaders, Hadassah is able to help to make change at the local level working with a group of colleagues she respects and enjoys.

Jason Holland

Co-FOunder

Jason has been swinging a hammer in the construction industry since before he was old enough to drive. As an active licensed contractor his leadership experience includes founding and operating JH Roofing, building and remodeling residential properties, and managing large commercial projects. His belief that we should leave everything better than we found it carries over from his personal life to his construction projects and the community. Jason took his decades of experience managing construction crews and helped co-found Rooftop Solar. The thing he loves most about his job is the community of people built around Rooftop Solar: “We’re an incredible group of individuals all teaming up to leave the environment a little better than we found it!”

Patrick Neese

Finance & Accounting Administrator

Patrick Neese oversees all financial and accounting operations while providing strategic management analysis. With a background in Finance and Political Science from the University of Northern Arizona, Patrick has helped develop and grow multiple departments across Rooftop Solar including Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Human Resources, Construction, Accounting, and Finance.

 

Patrick enjoys spending his free time on the frisbee golf course, hiking and camping, snowboarding, and plans on working on becoming a Certified Cicerone.

 

Patrick feels fortunate to be continuing his family’s legacy working in the Energy Sector, and helping build a renewable and sustainable community.

Jonathan Dufek

Project Manager

I was born and raised in Flagstaff Arizona. I went to Sinagua High School and attended NAU. I’ve done a fair amount of travelling and have grown to appreciate what Flagstaff has to offer.

 

I’m active and enjoy the outdoors whenever possible including snowboarding, camping, and riding motorcycles.

 

My background is in construction and project management.
I’m stoked to be a part of renewable energy and the Rooftop Solar team.

Michele Peavy

Project Manager

I’m originally from a small town in Illinois and moved to Arizona in 1989. I fell in love with Flagstaff when I moved here in 1991 to do a Masters program at NAU and decided to stay.

 

My background is primarily in psychology and social work fields but I’ve worked managing a horse boarding stable and have also done some construction work.

 

I enjoy being outdoors, hiking and kayaking. I love to travel and spend time with my husband, cats and grown kids.

Danielle Treible

Project MANAGER

Born and raised in Northeast Pennsylvania, Danielle knew early on that she wanted to explore new places before settling down. Following college, where Danielle focused her studies on graphic design and media relations, she pursued a career in Stowe, Vermont, where she spent her spare time skiing, snowshoeing and hiking the Green Mountain state. In 2001, Danielle left the east coast, and wandered out west, finally landing in Flagstaff. Seduced by the sunshine and the mountain air, Danielle immediately fell in love with the beauty and diversity of the Southwest.

 

Being outdoors, staying active and creative is her favorite way to spend time–whether solo, with her son and daughter, her dog Nova, or her friends–you can find her most content when she is enjoying the water, or in the forests and canyons, soaking up the natural surroundings.

 

Doing my part to give back and to help create a sustainable future for our planet has always been a personal mission, and I feel very passionate and excited about joining the Rooftop Solar team to professionally support our community with taking small, yet progressive steps toward being more sustainable.

Jake Nichols

Project Manager

Jake went to UMass, where he got a BS in natural resource conservation. He have been involved in renewables since his graduation in 2013. In Jake’s free time he likes to snowboard, mountain bike, hike, camp, and surf. He also likes to take his dogs to the beach.

Michael Roselle

commercial project manager, construction coordinator

Michael Roselle, commercial project manager and construction coordinator, manages and oversees commercial solar projects and helps optimize company construction methods and processes. Michael has a background in mechanical engineering that helped him gain knowledge in industrial construction and project management. Michael has helped engineer and manage the installation of over 100 megawatts DC worth of photovoltaic solar and counting. In his spare time he enjoys playing Basketball, skiing and spending time with friends and family. Being born and raised in sunny Arizona; integrating solar into the built environment and aiding in providing our community with energy independence while promoting a cleaner energy source is what motivates Michael.

Stephanie Kramer

Assistant Project Manager

Stephanie Kramer, Assistant Project Manager, reports to and assists the Project Managers, as well as answers the phones. Stephanie has been with the company for almost 2 years, and prior to her new role as Assistant PM, she was on the Field Marketing Team! In her down time, Stephanie loves to climb, snowboard, camp, and hike. Stephanie loves the idea of taking on a challenge & doing it with a smile, and sees no better way to do that than working for Rooftop Solar LLC!

Tiffani Falluca

Assistant Project Manager

Tiffani was raised in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Flagstaff in 2005. After receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science from Northern Arizona University, she traveled and moved back to the Phoenix area for a few years. Tiffani returned to Flagstaff in 2020 to join the Rooftop Solar team and couldn’t be happier. Tiffani is very passionate about renewable energy and saving the planet. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, traveling to go hiking, reading, gardening and hanging out with her pup Ophelia.

Scott Hollis

Technical Consultant

Scott Hollis, Technical Consultant, manages service call requests, participates in technical sales negotiations and supports operational projects. Scott has been with Rooftop Solar since Summer 2019. Prior to that, he worked for a solar contractor in Seattle. In his spare time, Scott enjoys nature with his wife and two dogs.

Jennifer Levy

HR & Admin

 I help Rooftop Solar stay up to date and compliant with rules, regulations, laws, etc. I also assist in planning events that are fun for our employees. I have lived in Flagstaff 8.5 years, and have been with RTS since August 2019. Prior to RTS, I worked at a law firm for 8 years that practiced family and criminal law. I have been married for a little over two years, and enjoy river running with my husband and friends on the weekends. What motivates me about my job is that regardless of what any of our titles are here at RTS, we are all contributing to better the environment, and to leave it cleaner than we found it.

Adam Bruce

Project Developer

Adam joined the Rooftop Solar Fam after working with some of the industry’s largest solar companies. He has over 10 years experience in the solar industry and 20 years experience in construction. His passion for renewable energy and helping his clients make the right decision for their family or business is very clear and he has been involved in hundreds of small to large projects throughout Arizona.

 

Adam is a husband, father, brother and friend to everyone who meets him! A true Arizona native, he loves being in the great outdoors with friends and family; especially when bikes, backpacks, kayaks, trails or guitars are involved!

 

Fun Fact: Adam was once lead man for one of AZ’s most popular bands!

Dale Townsend

Project Developer

Dale has been helping people go solar for almost 4 years. Prior to joining the “solar movement” he owned a chain of 5 retail furniture stores in Phoenix and Flagstaff. He got into sales to help people save money and reduce their dependence on the utility companies, and he loves what he does. Dale loves spending time with his 3 kids and enjoys camping, hiking, mountain biking and playing ice hockey.

Michelle Davis

Project Developer

Michelle Davis brings a wealth of knowledge to the table with eleven years in the solar industry. She has worked in both residential and commercial solar, and was one of the top reps in the entire state of New Mexico prior to moving to Phoenix and joining Rooftop Solar. A successful sale begins with a genuine connection, and that’s exactly what you’ll find with Michelle! Michelle’s customers quickly become her friends and relationships last long past the sale of a system. Michelle has two sons and is an avid hiker, cyclist and kayaker.

 

Fun Fact: Michelle was born a Gold Miner’s daughter!

John Urban

Project Developer

John has been spreading sunshine for years! After working for one of the biggest solar companies in the industry, John joined Rooftop Solar family, where he shares a “passion for the work and can put people before panels”.

 

When not showing others how to harvest sunshine, he’s probably throwing the baseball, riding bikes or reading with his children. He enjoys “talking shop” with his wife (also in the industry), but there is no greater reward than watching his two boys grow into happy, healthy adults.

 

Fun Fact: John once threw himself out of a perfectly good airplane!

Nolan Peterson

Project Developer

Nolan Petersen works with local businesses to educate them about the benefits of solar energy, both financially and environmentally. Nolan has been with Rooftop Solar for three years. Before working in Commercial Solar, he worked as a Field Marketer for RTS while obtaining his Business Marketing degree from Northern Arizona University.

 

In his spare time, Nolan enjoys playing basketball and cross-country skiing through the snowy streets of Flagstaff.

 

Nolan is passionate about helping businesses large and small gain energy independence by switching to solar energy!

Keith Gomora

Director of Marketing

Keith Gomora is the Director of Marketing and is responsible for residential and commercial marketing activities. With a passion for renewable energy, he brings over 20 years of renewable energy experience to Rooftop Solar.

 

Having spent over 15 years in the wind turbine industry with responsibilities ranging from service and quality management to product development and consulting, Keith carried his passion into the solar industry in 2014.

 

A father of two and an accomplished musician, you can find him enjoying time with his family and performing regularly with his rock, jazz, and folk ensembles.

Ryan Moreno

Marketing Manager

Ryan Moreno manages the marketing team, sets goals and assigns duties to the team.

 

Ryan has been with the company for 3 years. He graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2017 where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy.

 

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys weight lifting and spending time outdoors.

 

Ryan enjoys meeting goals and helping the marketing team to reach their potential.

Amber Kutchi

Marketing Associate

Amber Kutchi is a Marketing Associate. She is responsible for queuing up the sales team with quality consultations as well as taking photos for the company website, social media, and various marketing tools.

 

With a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a Certificate in Wildlife Ecology and Management, Amber’s passion for renewable energy stems from her studies at Northern Arizona University. In her free time, she enjoys being outside any way she can with her two dogs, Luna and Turtle. Amber and her pups go hiking, paddling, climbing, camping, and backpacking while taking photos along the way.

Ward Bailey

Lead Electrician

Ward is a tradesman specializing in electrical wiring, installation of new electrical components and the maintenance and repair of existing solar electrical infrastructure along with performing our solar site assessments.

With his 25 years of electrical knowledge, Ward recently passed the Arizona Registrar of Contractors Licensing exam for both Commercial and Residential Electrician Certifications.

Ward’s passionate about learning and truly enjoys sharing his knowledge and skills with anyone who is interested. He was first introduced to renewable energy in 2007 and has worked off and on in the PV industry since 2010 and is thrilled to be working at Rooftop Solar!

Ward is active in the Flagstaff music scene. You can find him on the drum set with his band, Rock Nine. He also enjoys; hiking, skiing, mountain biking and just getting out there!

Chris Stratman

Solar Installation

Chris Stratman started with the company over 6 years ago as a member of the install crew. Now he specializes in the procurement & logistics of construction materials for Northern and Central Arizona projects. He’s extremely fulfilled by helping provide renewable energy to the local and world communities and has a special passion for streamlining Rooftop’s operations between the office and the field. He also works as a full-time firefighter and when he’s not on duty at the fire station or with solar, he’s probably chasing his almost 3-year-old son, Cian, around. Chris arrived in Flagstaff in 2004 to study forestry and environmental science at NAU. After graduating he spent a few years in Telluride, Colorado before he met his wife, Caitlin, and settled back in Flagstaff permanently. His favorite things to do are to spend time with his family doing something outdoors, going to live music shows, and playing softball all summer with the Rooftop Solar team – go KillaWatts!

Justin King

Solar Installation

Justin was born in Phoenix and has lived in Flagstaff since 1979, so he is very much a local. He has worked in both residential and commercial construction since the early ‘90s, and has always had a knack and a desire for building things. When the time came for a change of direction, he decided to apply that background to a career in the solar industry, starting with an Alternative Energy Technician’s Advanced Certificate from Coconino Community College and then working his way up to his current position with Rooftop Solar.

 

Justin is 46 years old and enjoys most of all spending time with his wife and son. Other activities/interests include biking, traveling, metalworking, and tinkering in his workshop.

 

He is driven in his career path by the compelling need for sustainable sources of  energy. Justin provides leadership and guidance to the installation team, and brings to each project an understanding of both the systems we build, and the structures on which we build them.

Chris is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys being in the outdoors whether it be on skis, on a bike, or a walk through the woods with his golden retriever. Chris moved to Flagstaff from Charlottesville Virginia in 2011 and appreciates the close proximity to trails and public lands. Being in the sustainable energy business is important to him because having a healthy planet directly affects the activities he fills his free time with.

 

As a part of our install crew he is able to use his problem solving and mechanical skills on a daily basis, and enjoys working with our team to get solar projects up and running.

Andrew Hollinger

Solar Installation

Andrew is passionate about the environment and loves being part of a team so committed to green energy. When he’s not installing solar systems he enjoys spending his time hiking in the woods with his dog, Basil, rock climbing, or making music.

Robert Chagolla

Robert is from Phoenix, AZ, and has been doing commercial and residential electrical for the past 5 years. For the last year, he has been doing residential electrical in Midland, TX. He recently moved to Flagstaff, and is excited to work in the solar industry!

Rod Robinson

Service Department

Rod comes with experience from 30-odd years in renewable energy, with a Master in Environmental Science based on wind and solar water pumping for remote Australian communities, solar village projects in Indonesia, then with Southwest Windpower as Asia-Pacific Sales Manager, finally running a rooftop PV company in Sydney Australia. After returning to Flagstaff, he’s happy to take up a role with Rooftop to keep the solar flag flying!

Vanessa Nefflen

Lead Residential Project Manager

Vanessa Nefflen heads the Residential Project Management department and has been with Rooftop Solar for about 2 and a half years. Prior to joining RTS, Vanessa worked in the public sector, both as a licensed fiduciary and as a behavioral health specialist. Vanessa has been a Flagstaff resident since 2002 and obtained her Masters degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University.

Vanessa is a native of wild, wonderful West Virginia, and loves the great outdoors. She especially enjoys mountain biking, as well as boating with her beagle best friend, Lucy.

Vanessa is committed to supporting the Flagstaff community and to helping her neighbors save money while raising awareness of the benefits of solar power.
